You'll also get an inside look at the Jain community, visit a Panjra Pole (animal shelter) and you'll finally figure out what this sacred cow thing is all about! Mumbai's heart lies not in its monuments, but in its bazaars - come see for yourself!
• Duration: 2 hour(s)
• Location: South Mumbai, Kalbadevi
Itinerary
Every Saturday, 5:00 p.m.
Starts at Crawford Market. This is an interactive, interesting walk, so often they last longer (there are so many things to see and absorb!) You can leave at any time; we'll help you find a local taxi.
Cancellation policy
No refunds for same-day cancellations.
50% retention for tours cancelled within 48 hours.
Full refunds in all other cases.
Children Policy
This walk is not suitable for children - the bazaar is crowded and chaotic. However, it is a safe area, and the streets are usually filled with Indian women shopping. So if you do wish to bring children, you are welcome. You will need to be alert since it is easy to get lost in the crowds.
Participant Guidelines
Light cotton clothes recommended. Western clothing is acceptable; however these are traditional areas so it is a good idea to dress modestly. It is usually better to avoid shorts (the really short variety!), sleeveless vests, spaghetti straps, or halter necks. Please bring bottled water and ensure that you have adequate sun-protection (hat/sunglasses/sunscreen).
Other Disclosures
Tour sizes are typically between 2-6 people.
A minimum of 2 people is needed for this tour.
If you are travelling alone, we will confirm to you whether there are other participants and if the tour is available on the daythat you request it.
If you are uncomfortable in crowded areas, this is not a walk you should attempt.
